Background
I grew up in Iowa and moved to Arizona after high school to pursue a career in theatre. Arizona is where I began lighting, completely self-taught. Since then, I have worked in the field on and off through the years before eventually settling down in Michigan to complete the rest of my training.
Special Skills
My work as an actor and a director enables me to provide a unique approach to lighting that acknowledges the director's vision and ensures close integration within the lighting design.
Training
I have received BFA - Design & Tech Production training with an emphasis in Theatrical Lighting Design from Western Michigan University (WMU).
Approach
I provide directors with a design concept that enhances their goals. I also respect the way a director thinks and gives notes and can translate them to the lighting world clearly.
