About Me
I grew up in Waterloo, Iowa and began my theatrical journey beginning at the age of 7. My first production on stage was in 2004. Since then I had been in a number of productions throughout my life. I then moved to Arizona where I obtained my Associate’s Degree at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. I went on to continue this journey at Western Michigan University, obtaining both a degree in lighting design as well as acting/directing.

Obtaining a degree in the performance side of theatre provides me with a deeper understanding of that side of theatre. This gives me a very unique approach to lighting productions. I tend to approach scripts in a very similar way as directing, just with a different lens. I focus on the story, on what the playwright intends with each scene, and how that can be translated into lighting. This approach is enhanced because of my understanding of the directing and acting side of my background.
