Concept Approach

My focus was aimed to capture the world that Matilda creates through her stories. A world of hope and dreams that provides her an escape from the reality of her life. I wanted to make sure that hope was not lost at any point throughout the story. I wanted to utilize shadows to give a mystical feel while using color to let Matilda’s hope shine through.
